Grain Place Foundation:
Field Day 2026
July 18, 2026

Plan now to attend the Grain Place Field Day on Saturday, July 18th - a day of leaning, inspiration, and community.

The event will start with a guided tour of Grain Place's regenerative organic farm and grain processing plant in Marquette, NE to see firsthand how they prioritize healthy soil and healthy food at the Grain Place.

Then, attendees will head to a local venue for an engaging afternoon program featuring a keynote presentation by The Director of Science and Stewardship for The Nature Conservancy in Nebraska, Chris Helzer, followed by a panel discussion, and a delicious farm-to-table lunch made with organic ingredients.

For more information, go to the Great Place Foundation Field Day website.

RegeNErate Farm Tours

Thanks to all who attended this year's RegeNErate Farm Tours at
Christensen Farms!

This year's farm tours were focused on health including, 1). The mitigation of soil erosion and contaminant leaching (into surface and groundwater) through regenerative agricultural solutions, and, 2). "Food Is Medicine" to create healthier communities and new domestic markets for more biodiverse, food producing family farms.

Thanks to Savannah Berlyn Photo & Design who photographed the event. Here is a pictorial capturing some of the highlights.

Special shout out to tour co-lead and Omaha physician Dr. Stephanie Hartman who highlighted the nexus between agriculture and clean water. The event was catered by the best, Chef Anthony Warrior and WarriorsPalate, who prepared a special lunch emphasizing fresh and local nutrition.

None of this would have been possible without our sponsors; Nebraska Communities United, Nebraska Interfaith Power & Light, Nebraska Chapter Sierra Club, and the District 6 Farmers Union.

In short summary, we had the best weather for the tour, the feedback was positive, and the conversations left us feeling hopeful that these solutions will be implemented to better the future for the next generations.

If you weren't able to make it There will be more farm tours hosted in the future.
